Sometimes, when I try to install a newly-released game demo on Steam, clicking the 'Download Demo' button in the store page, from the built-in Steam browser, just does nothing - the only thing which is happening is the the mouse cursor momentarily changes from a link pointer to a regular arrow.
- When I click the download button, all it's doing it opening a dialogue on steam to download the game, but the dialogue doesn't trigger any notifications or anything. It's there on steam, though. If your account is linked to Steam, click download then switch to Steam and see if the download prompt is there.
- I want to use Steam so I can continue with my online gaming, but when I click the icon (on desktop, start menu & taskbar!) nothing happens. It does the loading symbol on the pointer but no application opens up. If i try with my Internet explorer, it works instantly, but not with the Steam.
- I purchased DragonAge:Origins and Awakening on steam, when I launch the game, it got nothing happen, and I lauch the DragonAge:Origin's Launcher, when I clicked the 'play' Key on the laucher, then the Laucher disappear, and then noting happen again(the DragonAge:Origins Awakening had the same problem).

- This is the first Steam game I've tried to download/play. I never was able to do the preload either. Pasted image1366x768 106 KB. I literally download nothing when I click on this. This is what happens when i click download.
When I click play, a little box comes up from Steam (probably a loading box) and then it disappears. My Steam Avatar also gets the Green outline (instead of blue) signifying I'm playing a game. However no Dota window pops up, and my avatar outline changes back to blue after about 6 seconds. I click Play in Steam, then nothing happens? If I go to the store page from outside Steam and click the 'download demo' button, it correctly prompts me to open Steam - but then it does nothing as well.
This has happened for me more than once, with more than one demo; but other demos download, install and run just fine. Can anyone provide a solution?
OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

It happened also to me more than one time, with just released demo. Usually I wait the next day and it works.
I imagine that the problem could be caused by the fact that demo files are not yet globally distributed through all Steam server network.
Download Game Offline
I never tried, I will do next time, but maybe changing the download region from Steam -> Settings -> Download and Cloud could help.
